Montessori Writing Album: Unit 5 How-to Directions
Step-by-step lessons to grow strong writers in the Lower Elementary (1st-3rd grade) classroom. Unit 5 includes four weeks of instruction for a Writing Workshop group (2 lessons per week) and a Shared Writing group (1 lesson per week) focused on applying the Writing Cycle to the process of how-do directions. This comprehensive unit plan includes scripted lessons, sample writing pieces, rubrics, and handouts. Montessori For All will publish one unit per month for the entire 2024-25 school year. They will be highly engaged while learning foundational writing skills. This unit can be adapted for use with 4th-6th graders.
