Dr. Richard Reddick, Chairman of the Board

Richard J. Reddick is the inaugural Senior Vice Provost for Curriculum and Enrollment and the Dean of Undergraduate Studies at The University of Texas at Austin. He comes to this position after serving the last several years as inaugural associate dean for equity, community engagement, and outreach for the College of Education at the university and serving as Professor in the Program in Higher Education Leadership in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy (ELP) at the university. Dr. Reddick’s teaching and research focus on diversity in higher education, the sociocultural adaptation of Black families, and qualitative research methods. Dr. Reddick’s research on mentoring relationships between faculty and Black students includes factors influencing faculty mentorship, the role of formative experiences in professors’ lives in their approach to mentoring, and the advising and counseling approaches utilized by faculty in mentoring Black students.
